Introducing the PocketWizard®
MultiMAX Transceiver
More than just a Radio Slave. . .

Elmsford, NY. The PocketWizard Division of Mamiya America Corporation is excited to introduce the new PocketWizard MultiMAX Transceiver, the most innovative and advanced Digital Radio Slave with integrated "Trigger Time Control" software, True Trigger Confirmation and "Selective Quad Triggering". The MultiMAX goes far beyond the expectation of digital wireless freedom.

When the original PocketWizard MAX digital radio slaves entered the market, it became obvious that wireless-radio slaves would never again be the same. Redefining the performance level for radio slaves, the original PocketWizard MAX offered capabilities well beyond its contemporary existing triggering systems.

Now, in response to demanding professional photographers and challenging new photographic opportunities, the engineers of PocketWizard have developed a new concept in digital wireless control: the PocketWizard MultiMAX.

The PocketWizard MultiMAX incorporates many features, which offer solutions to photographic challenges that hinder today's photographer's creativity. Including all of the sophisticated features of the PocketWizard MAX, the new PocketWizard MultiMAX expands creativity control in the palm of the photographer's hand.

The MultiMAX features next generation "Wireless Transceiver Technology", which eliminates the need for separate transmitter/receiver triggering configuration. Each MultiMAX provides the capability to send and receive digital signaling by a flip of a switch, similar to personal communicators. Among many advantages the flexible MultiMAX can be either a transmitter or a receiver as shooting assignments change.

Through its use of advanced transceiver technology, the MultiMAX offers the only true triggering confirmation feedback, up to 1600 feet away or more, without the need for signal repeaters or daisy-chained radios. In the "Selective Quad Triggering mode", the MultiMAX automatically confirms (on the selected transmitter) every zone simultaneously, with immediate visual and audible feedback. Using the optional Flash Confirmation Cable, the transmitter receives a visual and audible confirmation signal, indicating that a triggered flash has successfully fired. Finally, there's a real confirmation system, which can affirm that everything is working with positive feedback.

Utilizing the full potential of PocketWizard's patented microprocessor and software technology, the MultiMAX comes loaded with "Trigger Time Control" software. This software package offers several tools for the working professional, all in one small package. With the Trigger Time Control software, it's easy and very convenient to create rear curtain Synch effects with any camera, add depth of field using multi-pop mode, and record events as they unfold using the intervalometer mode. Plus, with the Lag Time Equalizer, all cameras and flash units can be Synchronized with the highest degree of accuracy.

Rear Curtain Synch: Allows the photographer to delay the Synch time to fire the electronic flash unit near the end of the exposure with precision of 1/10,000th of a second. Pre-programmed shutter speeds of 1 second to 1/60th of a second are easily selectable. Custom delay settings are possible through the MultiMAX's delay time adjustment screen.

MultiPop: Provides unattended control of your flash exposures for multi-pops or exposures up to 10,000 flash exposures. Automatically triggers flash units for the desired number of exposures, then waits for the required electronic flash recycling time (user settable), from 1/100th sec. to 10 minutes.

Intervalometer: Photograph events as they unfold with the desired number of exposures, up to 10,000 exposures at any required interval in up to 18 hours.

SpeedCycler: Provides sequential triggering for up to 4 camera's or 4 electronic flash units. The SpeedCycler is ideal for multi-angle camera shots or reducing recycle time by triggering the next flash in line, while the previous flash is charging, for faster motor driven flash photography assignments. The SpeedCycler mode is a big help for on-location shoots with battery-powered electronic flash. With four PocketWizard MultiMax transceivers connected to the motor ports of the cameras, the SpeedCycler mode wirelessly triggers up to four camera's sequentially, effectively quadrupling frames per second.

Lag Time Equalizer: This feature measures the actual time it takes from the moment the motor driven camera is activated to the time the shutter is open. The Lag Time Equalizer software, measures the delay of your motor driven camera with precision accuracy of 1/10,000th sec. Resolution and assists the photographer in calibrating another camera, electronic flash unit or both for simultaneous triggering and exposure Synchronizing.

PocketWizard strengthens their position again as the industry leader in innovative and advanced digital radio triggering control. The PocketWizard MultiMAX provides features that dramatically extend the photographer's capabilities, with such features as "Selective Quad Triggering". Quad Triggering provides the photographer with convenient activation or deactivation of electronic flash units and/or cameras in four separately controllable zones without ever leaving the camera position.

Other standard features of the PocketWizard MultiMAX are its 1600 ft (or greater) triggering range, 32 digital 16/24 bit coded channels, 1/1000 flash Synch speed (in fast mode), contact closure adjustment, trigger counter and much more.

Unparalleled in features and performance, the Pocket Wizard MultiMAX is more than just a radio slave.
