The E Release firmware has taken my use of the Pocketwizard III to a new level by ensuring that they fire on every shutter release. The increase distance is a huge advantage in that I no longer feel restricted. Good job!

Ordered two licences. First one failed to load. after 4 hours I had to disconnect. I now have one unused license and one Pocket Wizard !!! Plus with a blank screen. Will need your help to resolve. Julian Portch

In reply to Thomas Semesky. Thanks Thomas! The Plus IV is a great addition. As the transmitter, when used on your camera, you can still use an on-camera flash. As a receiver, when doing off camera flash, it's a quick set up, no cables needed and it has a handy stand for the flash.

I love the PocketWizard products. I have two PocketWizard MultiMax’s for triggering another camera with a remote for sports. I’m thinking the Plus IV with the flash shoe would be a good addition. It would offer me a little more versatility.

I found it interesting how you mentioned how altering the background can increase the quality of your sports photos. My mother is getting older and she has mentioned that one thing on her bucket list is to participate in a marathon. Because I want to remember the great effort my mother put into training and participating, I will keep this in mind as we search for a photography service that utilizes these tips!

Hi Rob! Sorry that we did not get back to you sooner!

With these Canon cameras, they will not work in TTL mode – sorry! But, you can use the radios in Basic Trigger to fire the remote flash in manual mode, up to X-sync. To enable Basic Trigger mode, connect the radios to the Utility and navigate to the Misc tab. Check the “Basic Trigger” box, then hit Apply Changes. The radios will now work just like the Standard Channel (Plus) radios and use the center pin contact only. You will need to set the flash to manual and make any adjustments on the flash itself.

If you want TTL, you will have to buy just 1 new radio, a Flex TT6 and use it as a transmitter on your camera. Your current TT5s can be used as receivers.
