Description
The PTMM adapter connects to your remote camera cable and allows you to pre-trigger your remote camera. When a camera is pre triggered, it’s just like you’re half pressing the test button so it responds faster and fires your camera almost immediately when it gets the signal. The PTMM can keep your remote camera awake, pre-triggered, and prevent it from entering auto shut-off mode.
How to Use:
Connect the PTMM to your remote camera cable and your remote camera.
When you turn the switch “on” (the | symbol), the camera will wake up and stay in a pre-triggered state, as if you were half pressing the shutter button. When using this setting, you may not see the images played back. This is normal behavior when the camera is in a pre triggered state.
Note: if your camera is set to continuous focus, it should keep refocusing as needed. If your camera is set to single shot, it will confirm then lock the focus immediately after you turn the switch on.
When you turn the switch “off” (the o symbol), the camera will go to sleep as per the camera’s settings. Triggering the connected receiving PocketWizard radio should wake the camera back up if it has fallen asleep.
Note: the camera may miss the first trigger if it does not wake up fast enough. When the switch is off, half press from a transmitting Plus III is not possible. The camera will confirm focus and fire with a full press. Photo review is available with this setting.
